Coral Bay Nickel Corporation was recognized as one of the best in the South East Asian Region as it won the award for Best Practices in Sustainable Mineral Development under the Metallic Mineral Processing Category during the 2nd ASEAN Mineral Awards (AMA) that was held in Bangkok, Thailand on December 13, 2019.
CBNC is also a consistent recipient of the highest accolade that could be conferred by no less than the President of the Republic of the Philippines - the Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) under the Mineral Processing Category. This was bestowed to CBNC from 2014 to 2019 for showing excellence in achieving environmental balance, maintaining safe operation, and providing meaningful contribution to social development.
On June 19, 2017, CBNC was named by the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development as an Environment Champion during the 25th Anniversary of the SEP Law or the Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan.
Meanwhile, the exemplary social projects of the company achieved recognition on April 4, 2017 as the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) vested CBNC the Outstanding Community Project Award.
The DENR Mines and Geosciences Bureau in the MIMAROPA Region also recognized the company’s milestone in generating eleven million man-hours without incurring lost time accident from July 14, 2013 to March 16, 2020.
